End HIV Stigma. Start the Future.
We See the Woman,
Not the Virus.
When they hear, "I'm living with HIV," they only see a label.
At Agatha's Space, we don't see the disease - we see the woman.
Where others see death or limitations, we see skill, talent, and strength ready to thrive.

Making a Difference
Turning Stories into Strength
HIV Awareness and Training
We deliver, lived-experience-led HIV training and awareness sessions across Greater Manchester and nationwide. We offer vital training on HIV facts, prevention, and testing, including Undetectable = Untransmittable (U=U), PEP/PrEP awareness as this is the key goal to end HIV stigma, and new transmissions.
Our training is tailored for specific groups:
1. Health Services (GPs, A&E, Reception Staff): To help practitioners promote compassionate, inclusive care and understand patient experiences, and HIV language.
2. Workplaces, Schools, and Community Organisations: Focused on ending stigma, navigating issues of faith and culture, and promoting inclusion for people living with HIV.
3. Advocacy: Using lived experience and storytelling to shift public narratives and build trust, and confidence
Mental Health and Trauma-Informed Workshops
We recognise the immense emotional and psychological burden caused by HIV stigma, trauma, and exclusion, particularly for Global Majority women. Our workshops are carefully designed using a trauma-informed approach, ensuring a supportive and non-judgemental environment.
These dedicated spaces focus on techniques to help women rebuild inner strength, manage anxiety, and cultivate resilience. By addressing the root impact of their experiences, we help women reclaim their narrative and move forward with dignity and hope.
Peer Support and Healing Spaces
We provide confidential, stigma-free peer support and group discussions that are crucial for healing and rebuilding lives. These sessions create a vital sense of belonging and re-ignite confidence, especially for women who are dis-empowered by the immigration system and those facing social exclusion.
At the moment, our activities are:
1. Weekly sewing and upcycling session, where women use donated materials to develop practical, real-world skills. This creative work moves women toward financial independence while combating deep-seated isolation and giving them a renewed sense of purpose. Every stitch is an act of empowerment.
Our work at Agatha’s Space CIC is focused on two strands: HIV education to change the narrative, and peer support to empower individuals
Every workshop, story, and stitch carries a message of hope: They see HIV, we see a woman.
